Description
Learn the Skill of Fly Casting! Mini-workshop
Have you always wanted to try fly casting but never knew how to start? Now you are in luck. Come and join Naturalist Corps Gracia, as they cover the basics of fly casting, including equipment, technique and safety—everything you need to know to start fly casting. Learn about the tools every fly fisher needs, how to find the “best spots” on a lake or stream, and how “match the hatch” when selecting your flies. Plus you’ll be putting the lesson into practice as you learn to use a fly rod. We will practice fly casting on Lake Ozawindib (fly fishing isn’t limited to rivers) and maybe catch a fish! At the right time of year you can catch northern, bass, bluegill, crappie and even walleye using tied flies!
