Description
Crazy Days in Park Rapids Thursday and Friday, July 27 and 28 makes shopping and finding bargains fun. Businesses go all out with sidewalk sales both days and extending into Main Street Thursday. Community organizations will join in providing activities Thursday on Main. The Park Rapids Downtown Business Association and Friends of the Library will sponsor a free kids show at 11 a.m.
Thursday on the main stage at 2nd and Main. Dennis Warner, a Minnesota folk singer and songwriter, will perform. At 1 p.m. Thursday Smoky Hills Singers from Pine Point will entertain at 4th Street and Main. ?Unpolished? will play an eclectic mix of roots, Americana and Bluegrass music from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday on the main stage. The 2nd Street Stage beer garden will open at 2:30 p.m. with a social hour from 5 to 6 p.m. and the free concert featuring The Lucky Dutch from 6 to 8 p.m. Youth and youth groups are invited to participate in a sidewalk chalk art contest from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday.
The Park Rapids Lakes Area Arts Council will donate the prize money: $100 for first place, $75 for second place, $50 for third place. Friday shoppers also are invited to relax awhile during the day and listen to musicians playing in Pioneer Park.
