Description
Two outstanding Hubbard County senior citizens will be named at this year’s annual Senior Citizen Day at the Hubbard County Fair.
On this Friday, July 18, music by Frank Lamb starts about 11:30 am at the pavilion just northwest of the grandstand on the fair grounds.
Awards will be handed out at noon, followed by a free lunch and more good music until 2:00 pm.
All seniors, family members, and guests are welcome to attend.
This year, access and parking for seniors will be available closer to the pavilion by following a marked route for cars that goes west from just south of the bus barn on Fair Avenue, to a marked path going north and west of the grandstand, to the pavilion. This path will be reserved just for seniors attending pavilion events.
Last year’s winners, Glenys Hotzler and Lee Hinds, are expected to attend.
Senior Citizen Day is sponsored by Hubbard County Council on Aging, with support from Hubbard County Commissioners and other organizations that cater to seniors.
