$13 to $15 per hour

Job Title: Communications and Marketing Coordinator

Position will assist and manage the Communications and Marketing programs while ensuring that the brand and the messaging are consistent throughout all communications for the above referenced organization. Under the direction of the President/CEO, the Coordinator will assist with communications and marketing tactics to support the key objectives for the Chamber (including retaining/recruiting members, increasing program attendance, prepare promotional and marketing materials for the organization).  The position will assist with membership services, database maintenance and billing.  

Essential Responsibilities and Job Duties:

Communications and Promotions

  • Maintain and update the Chamber website;

  • Ensure social media channels are consistently updated with appropriate messaging;

  • Inventory all Chamber communications including cost, reach and effectiveness;

  • Assist in the development of marketing materials for the Chamber including membership directory, event posters, and collateral;

  • Assist Membership/Guest Services with membership communications and billing;

  • Represent the Chamber in community related projects and be actively involved;

  • Coordinate the publication and distribution of weekly e-newsletters and event invitations;

  • Analyze and report on web traffic, email statistics, social media interaction and survey responses;

  • Provide project management support for all marketing projects;

  • Support Events as needed;

  • Provide any additional support required by Chamber and its affiliates.

Committee management:

  • Provide support to internal Chamber committees, programs and events as assigned;

  • Assist the Chamber’s Annual Meeting program design, program, bid sheet/online bidding and other marketing of events;

  • Assist in preparing agendas, meeting minutes and works closely with subcommittees to ensure successful programs and communications as assigned;

  • Additional program support and management as assigned.

Software Experience (preferred):

  • ChamberMaster

  • InDesign

  • Photoshop

  • Illustrator

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Constant Contact

  • Website skills helpful including WordPress

  • Knowledge of QuickBooks

Public Relations:

  • Write and distribute press releases for the Chamber in coordination with the President.

  • Manage social media use and promotions for the organization.

  • Serve as photographer for the Chamber as needed.

  • Maintain and update area demographic information.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations preferred

  • 2 years prior experience in marketing, communications, website maintenance, social media management preferred

All other duties as assigned
