Point of Pines Resort
- Resort & Cabin
Our ultra-clean, nicely furnished, beach front cabins are nestled in a wooded setting at the edge of the Paul Bunyan State Forest. All cabins are at lake level and only 20 to 30 feet from the water. You can relax on your patio and watch the kids swim in the lake. Our beautiful sandy beach and crystal clear waters are very inviting. Great Fishing and fun for the whole family on beautiful Kabekona Lake.
As with past openers, our guests can expect to catch walleyes mainly in the 5 to 8 lb. range with some up to 32 inches long. With opener early this year and our cooler weather, the following weekend may be better. Walleye fishing holds up extremely well through mid-June. We had reports from the few people who tried fishing for lake trout last summer of lakers caught in the 6 and 8 lb. class. The DNR has been stocking huge amounts of lake trout in the lake, and would appreciate any info on lakers caught.
