DESCRIPTION:Hardwood Groove is rooted in Detroit Lakes. On stage\, bluegrass\, blues\, folk\, rock and funk all meet in one electrified show. Roots inspired songs are tied together with vocal harmonies and spiced up with a collaborative improvisational aspect. Founding members\, Dan Thornby and Jake Seelye\, started playing together at campfire jam sessions. A great friendship grew as their ears and vocal harmonies developed. They took to the stage in 2009 with a rotating cast of musicians. The lineup features Keith Thornby on sax\, Shea Volker on drums and Dustin Ellingson on bass. Smokey Hills Outdoor Store is the night's sponsor.
