SUMMARY:Event at Nemeth Art Center
DESCRIPTION:The Nemeth Art Center will continue to celebrate its 40th Anniversary with an opening reception for exhibits by Christopher Harrison and David & Mathieu Ruhlman this Friday July 21st\, 2017.\n\n\n\nMinneapolis artist Christopher Harrison says this about his exhibit titled\; "Monsterlands": My art starts from the search for some sort of human connection with the forces of life and the universe. The images on the canvas reflect my imagination as well as styles in popular culture and references to indigenous aesthetics. They are expressed as shape\, colors\, and lines. The viewer can be immersed in the environment as they interpret it\, expanding beyond the obvious. The images in my work are used as objects to illustrate my own relationship to the world or feelings I have.
