We will learn about Heather's work with Conservation easement funding here in Hubbard County.\n\n \n\nDr. Michael McCartney is a zebra mussel biologist in the Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center (MAISRC) at the University of Minnesota.  Michael's laboratory has been using genetic markers to study how zebra mussels traveled from ballast water to inland lakes.  Dr. McCartney will update us on the research progress on 2 important patterns of spread and MAISRC's interpretation of what the results imply for preventing further invasions.
