DESCRIPTION:"HC COLA is the Leader in Protecting Hubbard County Lake and Rivers for this and future generations."\n\n-------------------------\n\nWe cordially invite all the current and past Hubbard County lakes water quality monitors for the last 20 years and the public to attend our Thursday\, June 29\, 2017 Hubbard County Coalition of Lake Associations (HC COLA) board meeting at the Northwoods Bank Community Room\, 1200 1st St. E. in Park Rapids (handicapped accessible). We will celebrate the special 20 year water quality monitoring milestone with refreshments at 6 PM.  At 6:30 PM\, Moriya Rufer\, Aquatic Ecologist\, RMB Environmental Laboratories will present "The State of Hubbard COLA Lakes and How to Protect Them".  How are the Hubbard COLA Lakes doing? Moriya will talk about the history of the county's lake monitoring\, the current state of water quality in the county (using volunteer-collected data)\, what the highest priority threats are\, and what residents can do about it.  Residents will leave with a one-page summary of the talk with ideas for future projects and funding sources.  The HC COLA board meeting will then follow the break for those interested.
