Learn about the fall changes in the forest as well as the history of fire in Itasca. Enjoy the spectacular views as you climb to the top of the 100-foot tall fire tower! (The hike is 3 miles round trip. Portions of the hike are hilly and can be strenous.)\n\nNotes: Dress for being outdoors\, bring water\, energy snack\, sunscreen\, and insect repellent- including tick gaiters.\n\n \n\nItasca's Music Under the Pines: Menten and Nye\n\nSaturday\, October 6\, 2018 from 6:30-8 p.m.   \n\nMeet at Forest Inn across from Douglas Lodge\n\n \n\nCome visit historic Forest Inn for an evening of wonderful music! Violinist Jeff Menten and fingerstyle guitarist Paul Nye offer up a unique blend of acoustic music that artfully weaves modern and old time classics and Celtic tunes with ragtime and blues\, as well as some "J&P Originals."
