DESCRIPTION:Yoga in the Park\n\nSaturday\, July 20\, 2019 from 8:30-9:30 a.m.\n\nMeet in the picnic grounds by the Lakeside Museum\, watch for signs (lakeside from Wegmann's Store/cabin). If raining or bad weather conditions\, yoga will be held inside the museum).\n\nRelax and unwind with Yoga in the Park\, catered to all ages and levels of physical fitness! Begin your day with healthy stretching. Enjoy nature while benefitting from yoga as the calming view of Lake Itasca and the towering pines overhead center you. Participants should bring a mat\, blanket\, or beach towel and should wear comfortable clothing that allows them to move freely. Led by personal yoga trainers. All levels welcome. NOTES: Please bring your own mat/towel/blanket and some water.\n\n \n\nHistoric Sawmill/Pioneer Village Tour: Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers\n\nSaturday\, July 20\, 2019 from 10 a.m. Noon\n\nTour begins at the Levorsen Building located on the Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers showgrounds.* The showground is located on the north side of Itasca State Park. Go out the North Entrance to Itasca State Park\, entrance is on the east side of the North Entrance Road (across from the church and gas station).*Tour begins promptly at 10 a.m.\n\n \n\nGet a feel for the early 1900s community of Lake Itasca at the Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers Showgrounds (LIRPF). See the Itasca Historic Sawmill. Explore various buildings including a country school\, dove-tail one-room log house and a logging museum.\n\n \n\nFive Facts in Five Minutes: Wild Rice\n\nSaturday\, July 20\, 2019 from 10 a.m.-Noon and 1:30-3 p.m.\n\nNear the Mississippi Headwaters (under the porch of the Mary Gibbs Mississippi Headwaters Center if rain.)\n\n \n\nOnly have a minute to learn about Itasca State Park? Stop at the naturalist station and explore wild rice with Annette Drewes\, DNR Clean Water Specialist as you visit the Headwaters of the Mississippi River.\n\n \n\nJr. Naturalist: Frog Mucking\n\nSaturday\, July 20\, 2019 from 2 2:45 p.m.\n\nMeet at the pond next to Wegmann's Cabin\n\n \n\nInterested in learning about a few of the frogs found in Itasca State Park? Come out to the pond right next to Wegmann's Cabin to expand your frog ID skills. After learning about Itasca's frogs we will have the opportunity to bring some nets and buckets down to the pond to see what we can catch!
