SUMMARY:Menahga Midsummer Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Little Miss Menahga will kick off the festival at 7 pm on Friday\n\n	\n\n	Saturday - 30th Annual St Urho 5k Walk and Run\, and 10K Run at 9:00 am  The race begins at the old baseball field and ends at the St Urho statue.  You can preregister at the Shell gas station\, the Cenex store or by going on www.allsportscentral.com  Registration ends at 8:30 on the day of the event.\n\n	\n\n	The Art and Craft Show will be from 9 am to 4 pm on Main Avenue\n\n	\n\n	Check out other events around town all day.\n\n	\n\n	Events especially for kids will take place from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on the football field.  Also\, kids' inflatable games will be set up near Spirit Lake from 2 pm to 7.\n\n	\n\n	Fireworks will take place Saturday night at dusk on the shore of Spirit Lake.  The UNL Drill  & Dance Team will perform at the city beach prior to the fireworks.\n\n	Sunday - Lions Pancake Feed from 7 am to noon at the city park.  More events include a Midsummer Sand and Mud 4 x 4 and ATV race at 1 pm Sunday 1 1/2 miles east  of Menahga on Co Rd 21.\n\n	\n\n	Conservation Club Kids Fishing Derby at noon at the Spirit Lake fishing pier.\n\n	\n\n	Prize drawings are at 3 pm Sunday at Spirit Lake access.  This year's grand prize is a 2011 red Chevrolet Aveo LS 5 door hatchback (from Dondelinger GM\, Bemidji)  Tickets are $20 each.  Ten additional prizes are available to win.  Tickets are available from any Menahga C & C businesses and members.
