SUMMARY:Nevis' 60th Annual Muskie Days
DESCRIPTION:An all-you-can-eat community fish fry will kick off the festival with fish and trimmings served from 5 to 8 pm Friday in Muskie Park.  Events include:  a kiddie parade\, horseshoe tourney\, a magician show on Friday. A performance of "Peter Pan" by the Nevis community ed youth theater will be at 7 pm Friday and 2 pm Saturday at the school. Gather at 4 pm Friday at Muskie Park pavilion for the first 2-hour competition of the Amazing Muskie Race.  Teams of two will "race" through a Nevis summer and the fastest team will win $100 cash.  Competition will conclude with another 2-hour challenge on Saturday starting at 3:30 pm.  Saturday\, a 5K run.  The 3.1 mile run will set off on the Heartland Trail\, across from the Muskie.  Registration begins at 7 am\; the run kicks off at 8 am. Mall of America's Underwater Adventures Aquarium will be in Muskie Park from 11 am to 6 pm with live animal touch tanks\, childrens' activities and educational stations as well as a staged educational performance at 11 am on MN habitats.  The grand parade will set off at 6:30pm from the Nevis School.  Grab a lawn chair on Paul Bunyan's Boulevard.  Entries are welcome.  A prize drawing and awards ceremony will follow. Muskie Market will host artists\, crafters and flea marketers along the Heartland Trail from 10 am to 8 pm on Saturday.
