DESCRIPTION:The League of Women Voters (LWV) of the Park Rapids Area will host a presentation on Minnesota's climate and energy policies from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday\, March 16 at the Northwoods Bank Community Room. Guest speaker will be J. Drake Hamilton\, science policy director of St. Paul-based Fresh Energy. For 25 years Fresh Energy has helped lead the state's transition to a clean energy economy through advocacy\, policy analysis and public outreach. This event is free and open to the public. A light meal will be available for a free will offering and exhibits will be open from 5:30 to 6 p.m. LWV is a nonpartisan volunteer organization supporting legislation that seeks to preserve the nation's natural resources and protect public health from the effects of climate change.\n\n\n\n\n\n(click on the image above to view in its original format and size)
