DESCRIPTION:Performing for the Noon Hour Concert on Thursday\, June 25 at Calvary Lutheran Church from 12:15 to 12:45 is Violinist\, Timothy Pinkerton a 21-year-old violinist currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music. With a strong pull towards orchestral playing\, he most recently won a position as first violin in the Canton Symphony Orchestra and serves as a substitute for the New World Symphony.\n\nIn the summer of 2025\, Timothy served as concertmaster at the National Orchestral Institute + Festival\, under Marin Alsop and performed at the Domaine Forget Academy in Quebec. Additionally\, in March 2025\, he won First Prize in the Schubert Club Student Scholarship Competition undergraduate string division.\n\nTimothy has received added studies and masterclasses with violinists Juliana Athayde\, James Ehnes\, Karen Gomyo\, Kerson Leong\, Mihaela Martin\, and Violaine Melan on. With a strong collaborative spirit\, Timothy greatly enjoys playing chamber music and has collaborated with members of the Cleveland Orchestra.\n\nTimothy's primary teachers include Eun-song Koh\, Malcolm Lowe\, and Stephen Rose. Outside of his musical engagements\, Timothy enjoys birding\, baking desserts\, and spending time with family.
