DESCRIPTION:The Noon Hour Concert on Thursday\, August 14 at Calvary Lutheran Church features Guitarist and Vocalist\, Paul Lawrence. Paul was born and raised in southern Wisconsin\, and adopted by Minnesota and Iowa. Paul has performed his original folk-country-blues on stages from Minneapolis to Taipei. Back in the USA after twelve years in Taiwan\, Paul is excited to share his new songs with English-speaking audiences. Paul's music ranges from folksy ballads to bluesy boot-stompers\, all while consistently delivering exceptional vocals and finely crafted lyrics.\n\n\n\nPaul grew up surrounded by music\; his mom played the organ at church and everybody was always singing. He has been influenced by classical\, gospel\, blues\, country\, rock & roll and traditional folk music. Recently\, he was particularly moved by the indigenous singers of eastern Taiwan. All of these sounds filter through Paul's dynamic tenor voice.
