DESCRIPTION:This hike has a high overhead view of Nelson Lake\, passes through a couple of balsam forests\, through the historic Thorpe Tower area and through a magnificent stand of old growth red pines.  Meet at 9:00AM at the Hwy 91 Trailhead.  Take Hwy 2 from Nevis or Hwy 7 from Dorset north to where the two roads become Hwy 91\, proceed north on Hwy 91 for 6 miles.  From the north\, take Hwy 91 south from the Hwy 200/71 intersection east of Lake George.  The trailhead is 6 miles south of the intersection.
