SUMMARY:PRLA Hometown 4th of July Celebration & Parade
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate America's birthday\, Downtown Park Rapids! Paying tribute to the men & women who fought for our freedom.\n\n \n\nThe Park Rapids Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce  has plans well underway for the 4th of July parade\, scheduled to start at 5pm this year. \n\n\n\nThe Route is  from the Fairgrounds east along 2nd Street W to Main Avenue then south to 8th Street and back west to Fair Avenue.\n\n \n\nThe newest feature in the parade this year is the addition of a Marching band\, sponsored by Northwoods Bank\, Essentia Health & Arvig.   \n\n\n\nRegional area royalty will participate in the parade and guests will enjoy the antics of two Shriner's groups\; Fargo El Zagal Mobile Nobles and the Alexandria Area Shrine Club\, Calliope and 4 Wheelers Patrol. \n\n \n\nThose who want to participate in the parade can find entry forms on parkrapids.com or by emailing teresa@parkrapids.com or call 732-4111.  \n\n \n\nThe national anthem will be sung by Sierra Day who grew up in Nevis\, MN.  She writes original music and has opened for numerous national acts with her current band\, The Mayberry Riot.
