SUMMARY:PRLAAC 10th Anniversary Celebration
DESCRIPTION:PRLAAC will host 10th Anniversary events Members and friends of the Park Rapids Lakes Area Arts Council (PRLAAC) will entertain in a program celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Arts Council\, Art Leap and Noon Hour Concerts. The event will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday\, Sept. 26 at Armory Square. The sampler of local talent will include Unpolished\, playing an eclectic mix of roots\, Americana and Bluegrass music\; vocalist Julie Kaiser accompanied by Cheryl Steinborn\; a Nemeth Art Center presentation including students' poetry\; dancers from the Northern Lights Dance Academy\; author Jerry Mevissen of Jack Pine Writers Bloc and the Northern Light Opera Company performing "A Hand of Bridge\," possibly the shortest opera that is regularly performed. The doors will open at 6 p.m. for visitors to socialize and view displays of PRLAAC member organizations. There will be no admission charge\, but a free will offering will be taken. Cake and refreshments will be served following the program.
