DESCRIPTION:Two extraordinary soloists\, Korliss Uecker (soprano) and Tammy Hensrud (mezzo-soprano)\, will give a recital of vocal selections at Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids at noon on Friday\, May 2nd. Dr. Beverly Everett\, Bemidji Symphony Orchestra Music Director\, will accompany.     Both soloists are highly renown and have active international careers.  Korliss\, a graduate of the Juilliard School\, is a frequent presence onstage at the Metropolitan Opera as well as at numerous international venues. She recorded a CD of the lieder of Clara Schumann on the Arabesque label\, a CD with the Metropolitan Opera for London/Decca and Deutsche Gramophon\, and a CD with John McGlinn and the EMI Orchestra in London.   Tammy Hensrud has appeared in opera houses throughout Europe and the US under the batons of James Levine\, Herbert Von Karajan\, Emmanuelle Villaume\, Eve Queler and others. Her post-graduate studies include the Opernschule\, Hochschule f r Musik in Stuttgart\, Germany\, the Mozarteum in Salzburg\, Austria\, the Franz Liszt Musik Akadamie in Weimar\, Germany and the L?ecole Hindemith in Vevey\, Switzerland.   The recital is in conjunction with Bemidji Symphony Orchestra? s ?Stirring Celebrations? concert\, the grand finale of its 75th season to be held on May 4th at 3:00 PM at the Sanford Events Center in Bemidji.  Korliss and Tammy will join the Park Rapids Classic Chorale\, the Bemidji Chorale\, The Bemidji Choir\, and over 100 instrumentalists for this performance of Mahler?s 2nd Symphony ?Resurrection.?
