Paul Bunyan Days buttons, available for $2 at area businesses, offer a chance to win great prizes by local artisans.

Friday evening starts the fun with a Fish Fry from 4:30 to 7:30. Games of BINGO will begin at 7:30 pm at the Senior Citizens' Center and a youth dance will be held from 8:30 to midnight at Paul's Patio.
Saturday, a Lumberjack Mall Art Show will be held from 10 am to 5 pm on Graceson Avenue and Hwy 34. A money hunt for kids will be underway from 11 am to 7 pm at Paul's Patio. Sample homemade pie at the pie social at the Senior Citizen's Center, 11 am to 4 pm. Minnow races for kids, with preregistration at 9:30 at Quality Bait. Kids games, a Babe the Blue Ox scavenger hunt, a kids' fishing contest, mini tractor pull, and toilet bowl races.
More activities continue throughout the day, ending with a dance from 9 pm to 1 am on the patio.
Sunday will bring breakfast at the VFW and an Ecumenical worship service at 9 am. There will be a car show at the Akeley Community Center (former school) from 9 to 11 am. Line-up for the grand parade begins at 11:30, with the majestic procession heading down Broadway at 1 pm. Other activities will continue throughout the day.
A refreshment garden is open throughout the weekend, there will be a flea market and crafters, live music and many prizes rounding out the event.
