The first story of the legendary Paul Bunyan to appear in print was published in Akeley, MN in 1916. Paul Bunyan Days celebrates the spirit of the Northwoods loggers whose long evenings of tall-tale telling created the strongest and largest lumberjack of them all, Paul Bunyan. This 3 day event is held on the 4th weekend in June
