Knute Nelson is dramatically changing the health care paradigm by bringing new levels of care to the Park Rapids region. Crystal Brook Senior Living will consist of 69 independent/assisted living apartments and 19 memory care assisted living units. A thriving town center is the central focus of the building that will include a community room, fitness room, salon, card/club room, dining room, lobby, activity room, outdoor terrace, resident storage, spa, and underground parking.
Knute Nelson is using an "aging in place" housing model, also known as a hybrid senior lifestyle model, and specifically impacts the independent living and assisted living areas. This style of living allows the resident to start in the independent living and add services as needed without having to move to another area of the building.
The need for expanded health care choices and senior housing in the Park Rapids area is prevalent. The Knute Nelson Board of Directors is responding to these challenges to ensure community members remain living in Park Rapids. “We understand the best health care is health care that is closest to home and this grand opening brings us one step closer to ensuring the Park Rapids community has the services and choices for care that area families need and depend on now and into the future,” said Mark Anderson, president/CEO of Knute Nelson.
