Description
WindSync is a hot young ensemble quickly broadening the appeal of the woodwind quintet by mixing familiar classical music, some familiar lighter tunes and their interesting stage presentation and communication skills, all of which yields a great program for every audience.
A fresh and energetic wind quintet, WindSync is internationally recognized for dramatic and engaging interpretations of classical music. A winner of the 2012 Concert Artists Guild International Competition, this dynamic ensemble focuses on building a connection with audiences through adventurous programming and charismatic stage presence. These five virtuoso players PERFORM EXCLUSIVELY FROM MEMORY and specialize in creative concerts that inspire and entertain audiences of all ages.
It’s program has a distinctly American flavor, featuring masterworks written for wind quintet – including Samuel Barber’s Summer Music – and their own transcriptions of uniquely American music like Copland’s Variations on Simple Gifts, Bernstein’s Overture to Candide, Gershwin’s Summertime, and Ravel’s Bolero.
WyndSync is “innovative, unconventional and exciting”- Houston Public Radio.
