The Visitor Center and Discovery Center are located 9 miles north of the junction of Hwy 34 and Cty Hwy 29. The Visitor Center is open weekdays 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and weekends 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Description
Take a journey into Tamarac's past with volunteer guides John Hovdenes and Del Bergseth. Learn about the logging era, the early settlers and how Tamarac came to be with the help of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Carpool to key sites on the refuge. Meet at the Discovery Center.
