8:30—9:30 a.m. Yoga in the Park
Meet in the picnic grounds by the Lakeside Museum, watch for signs (lakeside from Wegmann’s Store/cabin). If raining or bad weather conditions, yoga will be held inside the museum). Relax and unwind with Yoga in the Park, catered to all ages and levels of physical fitness! Begin your day with healthy stretching. Enjoy nature while benefitting from yoga as the calming view of Lake Itasca and the towering pines overhead center you. Participants should bring a mat, blanket, or beach towel and should wear comfortable clothing that allows them to move freely. Led by personal yoga trainers. All levels welcome. NOTES: Please bring your own mat/towel/blanket and some water.
10 a.m.—Noon Historic Sawmill/Pioneer Village Tour: Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers Tour begins at the Levorsen Building located on the Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers showgrounds.* Showgrounds located on the north side of Itasca State Park. Go out the North Entrance to Itasca State Park, entrance on the east side of the Road (across from the church and gas station).*Tour begins promptly at 10 a.m. Get a feel for the early 1900s community of Lake Itasca at the Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers Showgrounds (LIRPF). See the Itasca Historic Sawmill. Explore various buildings including a country school, dove-tail one-room log house and a logging museum.

1—3 p.m. Five Facts in Five Minutes: Turtles Near the Mississippi Headwaters (under the porch of the Mary Gibbs Mississippi Headwaters Center if rain.) Only have a minute to learn about Itasca State Park? Check out a unique feature at the naturalist station as you visit the Headwaters of the Mississippi River. 2:30—3:15 p.m. Junior Naturalist: Bugs N Stuff Meet at the Jacob V. Brower Visitor Center What is a bug? Explore bugs in action, where they make their homes, and why they are so important. Create and take home your very own bug! Girl Scouts are welcome at this program, which will feature activities to help them work towards the Brownie Bugs badge or the Junior Animal Habitats badge.
