10:30-11 a.m. Junior Naturalist Program: “Getting Ready for Fall” Walk
For more information or to register, email Naturalist Sandra at Sandra.d.lichter@state.mn.us Fall is coming! Let’s get outside and check out how animals and plants are getting ready for the next season. Space is limited for this program. You must register by Thursday, September 3 at 5 p.m.
1:30–2:30 p.m. Old Timer’s Cabin and the Civilian Conservation Corp
(come-and-go at your leisure) Held at the Old Timer’s Cabin, located along the boardwalk of Dr. Roberts Trail, below Douglas Lodge. Only 4 (massive) logs tall, learn more about this Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) constructed building as well as what life was like in the CCC. Feel free to stop by at your leisure.
