Description
You are invited to visit the Hubbard County DAC’s newest site – Headwaters Adult Day Services – for February’s Morning Buzz. It is located at 1009 Hollinger Street in the “A Better Connection” building.
The Headwaters Adult Day Services is licensed to provide daytime care for elderly persons or for those with significant medical issues who cannot care for themselves. This is a new service in the Park Rapids community that is designed to keep elderly persons live independently. If you are a caregiver, we can help you on a full time, part time or drop in basis, so you can work or continue your daytime routine.
Stop by for Morning Buzz on February 26th at 7:45 AM to see the Headwaters Adult Day Services at 1009 Hollinger Street to learn more about it.
There will be a light breakfast and a short presentation on the Hubbard County DAC, then we'll go around the room and quickly share any business news. Morning Buzz is a great way to meet the movers and shakers in the area.
The Hubbard County DAC was started in 1973 by a group of local citizens. Their mission was to provide Day Training and Habilitation services for seven developmentally disabled adults in Park Rapids who had been long term residents of state institutions. By 1978 the program had grown to include 25 program participants and 5 staff. It was called the "Day Activity Center " and the mission was to maximize independence through normalization. In 1979 a work activity program was licensed and a work center built. The program was eventually renamed the Hubbard County Developmental Achievement Center.
