All are invited to join chapter members of the Laurentian Lakes Chapter for an afternoon of hiking and enjoying the fall colors. Afterwards, we'll gather for ice cream at the Discovery Center.
.
The North Country National and Scenic Trail is the longest continuous hiking trail in the United States stretching 4800 miles across eight states. Minnesota hosts over 870 miles and Becker County has over 50 miles that are maintained by volunteers of the local chapter. Stretching from Frazee, the trail winds northward through Hubbel Pond Wildlife Management area and Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge. The trail continues north crossing State HWY MN 113 before turning east towards Itasca State Park. For more information on this event email llc@northcountrytrail.org or call 218-841-2857.
