Description
Featured at the Noon Hour Concert on Thursday, August 3 will be Blake Staines, Baritone and Dan Will on Piano. Staines is currently entering his 5th year at BSU. He has been active in music throughout his college career, participating in all vocal ensembles offered at the university. During his junior year, he was elected as president of the Bemidji Choir as well as bass section leader, and he continues to serve in those positions two years later. He is double majoring in both vocal performance as well as psychology, and currently plans to audition for graduate programs in music.
Blake recently won the Carl O. Thomson scholarship for music and will be a featured soloist during BSU's annual Carl O. Thomson memorial scholarship. Blake is thrilled to be able to work with the brilliant musicians and staff at BSU, and is grateful for the opportunity and privilege to work with accompanist Dan Will.
