September! The Bemidji Brass Quintet will be featured at the Noon Hour Concert on Thursday, August 8, 12:15 to 12:45 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids. The group was a vision of Dr. Kyle J. Riess, that evolved into a brass ensemble, providing the opportunity to play fun and high-quality brass chamber music for local and regional audiences.
The group is composed of student and community members, and has evolved to include members of the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra, Bemidji State University and players in other regional ensembles. Members performing for the Noon Hour Concert are Dr. Kyle J. Riess, Trumpet; Craig Swartz, Trumpet; Alyssa Konecne, Trombone; Tim Fultz, Tuba and Eve Sumsky, Horn.
The Bemidji Brass Quintet will play selections from West Side Story and other broadway shows along with several favorites from their repertoire including John Cheetham’s Scherzo. You can find information about upcoming events at our website bemidjibrass.org coming in
