North Country Trail Association Annual Joint Meeting Scheduled

Description

The Itasca Moraine and Laurentian Lakes chapters of the North Country Trail Assoc. have scheduled their annual joint meeting for Saturday, October 24th.  The meeting is being held at the Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge near Detroit Lakes.  To get to the meeting, follow Becker County HWY 29 north from HWY 34.  HWY 29 merges with Hwy 26 then follow 26 to the Wildlife Discovery Center.
 
The pubic is invited to the meeting. Attendants may arrive at 4:00PM for a hike.  The meeting and catered meal activities start at 5:00PM, $10 per person.  Several activities are planned including an awards ceremony, recognition of adopters, a short business meeting and a program at 6:30PM. The program is being presented by Alisha Haken, a Frazee-Vergas High School graduate.  The topic is the National Wildlife Management System. Please call 218-841-2857 to reserve a meal.
