EVENT INFORMATION

ELITE SWIM WAVE

AGE GROUPS
Individual: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ (males and females)
Relay Teams: Two or three person teams
Male (all male members)
Female (all female members)
Coed (combination of male and female participants) 

Athletes who are expected to finish in under 1:12:00 have the option to join the elite swim wave. This will be the first swim wave.  All other participants will be placed into swim waves based on age and gender. Relay teams will be in the final swim wave. There will be three minutes between swim waves.  Race directors reserve the right to make changes to the swim waves to ensure swimmer safety.  **Elite swim wave participants are eligible for age group awards.

EVENT RULES

PACKET PICK-UP 

Participants must be at least 12 years of age on race day. No exceptions to this rule will be made.
Timing will be provided by Pickle Events Management.
Wet suits are permitted.
Swim caps are required and will be provided. Personal swim caps are not allowed.
Fins, snorkels and life preservers are not permitted.
Bike helmets are required.
No outside assistance.
No drafting.
Transition area: No glass. No pets. All participants must return their bicycle to the designated corral. Only race participants will be allowed to pick up bicycles.
No REFUNDS will be given.
Individual race participant substitutions/transfers will not be allowed unless participant has selected the "Transfer / Deferral" option at registration. Those participants who select this option will be allowed to transfer their entry to another person or defer their entry to the next year for any reason, no questions asked.  All transfer and deferral requests must be submitted to the race directors by July 30, 2018.  Individuals involved in unofficial transfers may be denied entry into future races.
Team member substitutions are allowed through race day.  However, race directors must be notified of the change prior to the race and at least one of the original team members must still participate on the team on race day. ALL team members must be at least 12 years old.
No dogs allowed on the course.
Race directors reserve the right to make race course changes as needed.
Race directors reserve the right to cancel the event, without refunds, due to dangerous weather condition
Packet pick up will take place on Friday, August 9th, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church at 100 3rd Ave, Nevis. Church is located one block north of Halvorson public beach.
Race day packet pick up will be available from 6:15 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. at the pavilion at Halvorson public beach.
