Northview Bank Announces Retirement of Rose Higgins

Northview Bank announces the retirement of a cornerstone of our institution, Rose Higgins, whose banking career spans an impressive 46 years. Rose’s last day serving the community and our customers will be March 28, 2024, carving the end of an era of commitment and service at our bank.

Starting in 1978 at State Bank of Park Rapids, Rose has served in several capacities before specializing as a Commercial Lender, a role in which she excelled with exceptional dedication. When State Bank joined forces with Northview Bank in 2015, Rose continued to contribute, supporting countless customers through the years in their endeavors to secure new homes, vehicles, and to start or expand their businesses.

Reflecting on nearly half a century's journey, Rose marvels at the technological advances that have revolutionized the banking industry. From the upgrade to devices like a 10-key adding machine and electric typewriters to the advent of computers and mobile technology that put a world of transactions at our fingertips, Rose has been a witness—and key player—to this remarkable transformation. Beyond the transactions and technological milestones, it is the connections with customers and collaborations with colleagues that Rose values the most. These relationships have been the true highlight of her career.
 

With the arrival of her retirement, Rose is eager to explore new horizons and cherish life’s next adventures. Plans include traveling with her husband, Jim, and creating lasting memories with family, especially with her grandchildren.

Northview Bank will maintain the legacy of dedication that Rose has set as our standard, and we extend our deepest gratitude for the years of service, mentorship, and friendship that she has provided. Please join us in wishing Rose a future filled with joy, discovery, and the same love and laughter she brought to our team each day.

To honor Rose and her remarkable career, we invite colleagues, clients, and the community to a farewell celebration on March 27th from 10am-3pm.
