Location
Meet at the North Country National Scenic Trailhead at Waboose Lake access, about 5 miles north of Nevis, on Hubbard Co 2. Take Inner Forest Rd for about 1.5 miles to Waboose Lake Access Rd. Follow that road to the lake, about .5 miles. From there the group will carpool to Thorpe Tower for a 6.4 mile, a moderatly difficult hike, back to Waboose Lake.

Description
Seventeenth Annual Hike for Hope: Enjoy the vibrant colors of fall. Remember world events that unsettle us. Offer silent tribute for wisdom for our elected leaders. Be open to the hope inspired by quiet places in a troubled world.Meet at the North Country National Scenic Trailhead at Waboose Lake access, about 5 miles north of Nevis, on Hubbard Co 2. Take Inner Forest Rd for about 1.5 miles to Waboose Lake Access Rd. Follow that road to the lake, about .5 miles. From there the group will carpool to Thorpe Tower for a 6.4 mile, a moderately difficult hike, back to Waboose Lake.
Carpooling is encouraged. From Park Rapids leave from ACE Hardware at 12:15. In Nevis leave from the Musky at Heartland Trail Park at 12:40.
Wear appropriate footgear, dress for the weather, carry water and snacks. Children and pets welcome with responsible adult.
