Snowshoeing: Wildlife Watch |
Saturday Jan 21, 2012
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM CST
Meet at the Jacob V. Brower Visitor Center; Itasca State Park; 21 miles north of Park Rapids on Hwy 71.
218) 699-7251 or 218) 266-2100
Grab some snowshoes and head down the trail with a park naturalist searching for signs of wild-life in winter. Meet in the lobby of the visitor center as we select the route we will take that day. Bring your lunch and gather around the lobby fireplace for socializing after our snowshoe out-ing! All experience levels are welcome!
NOTES: A limited number of snowshoes are available to use during this program. Call ahead at 218) 699-7251 to reserve a pair or bring your own. If using park snowshoes, please arrive 25 minutes early to get set up with snowshoes. This snowshoe walk is dependent on snowfall depth. Dress for the cold weather with snow boots, warm hat, gloves coat and snow pants. Program begins promptly at 10:30 am.
