Meet at the North Country Trail Head at the South Entrance Itasca State Park (along Highway 71) at 12:30 p.m.

Description
Join the Itasca park naturalists on this early spring hike searching for birds during spring migration. This 6.5 mile hike will travel through the south section of Itasca State Park. This section of trail is a rolling glacial landscape with views of many lakes. Portions of the trail will be strenuous.
Notes: Dress for being outdoors, including sturdy boots that can get wet/muddy, water, energy snack, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, insect repellent- including tick gaiters and hiking/trekking poles.
Meet at the North Country Trail Head Parking at the South Entrance to Itasca State Park at 12:30 p.m. The 6.5 mile route will follow the North Country Trail and Eagle Scout Trails into the western portion of Itasca State Park. Portions of the trail will be strenuous.
