Taste of Dorset

Description

Dorset is known as "THE Restaurant Capital of the World".  Each business offers a great variety of foods sold outdoors in a great family setting.  Mudballs, tacos, sundaes, fried chicken, pork chop on a stick, corn on a cob, shaved ice and spaghetti balls are a few of the items offered.  Also musical groups & a great variety of games for kids.

Parking is free and transportation is provided from parking areas downtown.

The drawing of the yearly Mayor of Dorset begins at precisely 2 pm and the next year's balloting starts immediately after.  Become the Mayor of Dorset by sending your name, address and phone number along with $1 for your vote to Dorset General Store, 20470 State Hwy 226, Park Rapids MN 56470.  There are no qualifications to become Mayor.  Any residency or age is accepted.  The only requirement is $1.  The winner shall receive gift certificates from participating businesses plus the honor and official title of Mayor of Dorset.
