Job Summary
Reports to New Accounts Department Head
We are looking for a Receptionist to manage our front desk on a daily basis and to
perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Ultimately, the
Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes
customers positively, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality
standards. The schedule for this position is 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through
Thursday and 8:00am-5:00pm on Fridays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Greet and welcome customers as soon as they arrive at the bank.
2. Direct customers to the appropriate person and office.
3. Promptly answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls.
4. Answer basic customer questions in person, via phone, or email.
5. Prepare and mail weekly new account letters to customers.
6. Perform daily maintenance on customer accounts.
7. Take, prepare and facilitate customer check orders.
8. Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable.
9. Pick up, sort and distribute daily mail and deliveries.
10. Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access to areas of the building via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges).
11. Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning.
12. Learn about and become comfortable with the Bank’s products and services.
13. Attend educational training and seminars as assigned.
14. Other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Must be team-oriented and have the ability to adapt in a fun, fast-paced environment;
- Professional appearance and customer service attitude;
- Self-motivation, good organization skills, and excellent communication and phone skills;
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise;
- Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks appropriately;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products;
- Ability to sit for extended periods;
- High school diploma or equivalent; and
- Previous customer service/receptionist experience preferred, but not required
