Community Resource Connections

About Us

Community Resource Connections was founded in 1985 under the name Bemidji Area Council of Nonprofits. In 2004, we changed our name to Community Resource Connections to better describe our purpose and to expand our coverage area from the Bemidji area to the 4-county area of Beltrami, Cass, Clearwater, and Hubbard Counties.

We currently employ 8 individuals, 7 of whom are certified as MNsure Navigators. As a membership organization of community service organizations (55 members), we continually update each other, our clients, and our members on the services available to meet the needs of the communities we serve. We developed and maintain a hard copy and web-based resource directory at www.crcinform.org.

All staff serve as Service Access Specialists: listening to consumers' needs, educating them on resources available to them, assisting them in the application processes for those services, and providing a warm handoff as they exit our guidance and begin receiving the help required directly from the provider. MNsure Navigation, while the most involved service we engage in, is just one of the many programs that require detailed client information and troubleshooting to gain access.

Community Resource Connections headquarters is located in Bemidji, MN and offices are located in Blackduck, Bemidji, Bagley, Walker, and Park Rapids.
