Living at Home of the Park Rapids Area

About Us

Living at Home enlists volunteers and other community resources to enable seniors to remain living in the home of their choice. We serve the Park Rapids, Nevis, Akeley, Two Inlets and Osage areas.

The Living at Home/Interfaith Caregivers Program has been meeting the needs of our community for the past 28 years. We know the people in our community and, in cooperation with our volunteers, we reach out to help them.

Volunteers served 250 of your friends and neighbors this past year, contributing over 2500 hours to provide transportation of over 21,500 miles, friendly visiting, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, repairs, ramp building and respite care.

We all know how important, both emotionally and financially, it is for our seniors to remain living in the home of their choice. Services provided by the Living at Home Program delay nursing home admission and provide months to years of additional independence.

Living at Home is able to offer these services because of our wonderful volunteers.

Your continued support of our program is essential to our future. Our goal is to raise $60,000 annually from contributions within our community.

Living at Home hosts a monthly caregiver discussion group, which meets the first Wednesday of each month from 1:30 -3:00 p.m. Call for location and more information. 732-3137
