Description
The first Noon Hour Concert of the summer will feature Cellist, Sage Gonzalez, on Thursday, June 6, 12:15 to 12:45 at Calvary Lutheran Church. Gonzalez will perform Bach's 2nd Suite for Unaccompanied Cello in D minor, and the 1st movement of Brahms’ 1st Cello Sonata, accompanied by Sarah Carlson.
Gonzalez is a Senior at Bemidji High School and an aspiring cellist. He has been playing for five years and plans to study cello performance in college. His dream is to spend the rest of his life making music. Gonzalez is currently in the BHS Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, and BSU Chamber group. The 16-year-old is a two time All-State Cellist, and will attend music camp this summer. He works with the 5th graders at Gene Dillon and has done multiple recitals over the past few years including solo performances with the BHS Chamber Orchestra.
Accompanist Sarah Carlson received her Master of Music in organ performance from the University of Iowa and her Bachelor of Music from St. Olaf College. She is currently Director of Music Ministry at First Lutheran Church in Bemidji.
