Performing for the Noon Hour Concert on Thursday, July 18 12:15 to 12:45 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids is pianist and harpist, Jenn Ellis. She will be playing self arranged hymns, Celtic music, J.S. Bach, a piano/organ duet, a fun rag, and will also be playing the harp and Appalachian dulcimer.
Ellis grew up in Bemidji, MN, and started piano lessons at age 6. She also studied violin harp and the Appalachian dulcimer. Ellis received a scholarship from the Bemidji Area Church Musicians organization for college, and attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, where she majored in music (piano emphasis) and social work. She married after her graduation in 2014 and lives in West Fargo, ND, with her husband of 10 years and their 3 children. Besides being a stay at home Mom and sharing her joy of music with her children she accompanies students and choirs, and has played professionally for events and weddings. She also helps lead worship at her church and writes and sings songs.
