Description
The Noon Hour Concerts will feature Timothy Pinkerton, on Violin, Thursday, June 20, 12:15 to 12:45 at Calvary Lutheran Church. Pinkerton is a nineteen-year-old violinist hailing from Bemidji, MN where his musical education started at the age of six. His orchestral career began at age ten with the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra (BSO) with which he recently completed seven seasons of service, primarily rotating as Concertmaster and Principal Second Violin. Additionally, he was featured as a soloist with both the BSO and the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony. He is now pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music, studying with Stephen Rose of The Cleveland Orchestra.
In the summer of 2023, Timothy was a member of Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Orchestra (USA) program, which collaborated with esteemed guests Sir Andrew Davis, Gil Shaham, and Hilary Hahn, on a North American tour. This summer, he will perform in the Bowdoin International Music Festival in Brunswick, ME, and the Domaine Forget de Charlevoix Academy in Quebéc.
Outside of his classical engagements, Timothy enjoys birding and baking desserts in his spare time.
