Park Theater is Hiring Summer Crew!

Movie lovers! Park Theater is now hiring Summer 2025 Support Crew Members!

Position: "Support Crew" - We're looking for hardworking individuals who are detail-oriented, hyper-competent, responsible, efficient, and courteous. A member of the "Support Crew" is an expert at customer service and fast at serving concessions. They are friendly with people, good with large crowds, they excel at money handling, use safe food handling practices, and are abundantly productive because they don't like to stand still. They revel in brief explosions of activity when the crowds arrive, then an hour-and-a-half later are able to recover.

During the summer, availability every evening, every weekend, and especially every holiday is required (some daytime availability is also required).
(When other people have time off from work, school, and go have fun, that's when we go to work. Their Friday night is like our Monday morning. First day of vacation is like our first day of school. You know the "upside down" in Stranger Things? We live in the opposite-world from everybody else all summer long and we like it that way!)

This position is from May 2, 2025* through Labor Day weekend, Sept. 1, 2025 (with the potential of continuing to year-round employment after summer). *At the latest - mid to late April is preferable.

Employment Status: Part-time (during summer it's an average of 16 to 40+ hours/week, depending on the position hired for)

Pay: Rate of pay is determined by experience and the position hired for
Classification: Nonexempt (entitled to overtime, minimum wage, other protections under Minn. Stat.177)
Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

• Selling movie tickets and theater concessions

• Handling money at POS/cash register

• Organizing, re-stocking, and inventory of theater items

• Ushering & customer service, like scanning tickets & giving directions to screening rooms

• Cleaning restrooms, vacuuming lobby, sweeping, mopping floors

Qualifications: 

• Experience requirements - Previous experience in retail, customer service, working with point-of-sale (POS) registers and money handling, are not required, but are a huge plus.

• Skills requirements - CPR and First Aid certified and a Safe Food Handler certificate are not required, but are a plus.

• Education requirements - High school diploma/GED are not required, but are a plus. 

The Working Environment and Physical Demands at Park Theater: 
Consists of prolonged periods of standing on your feet, walking up and down stairs while carrying boxes, lifting up to 50 lbs, occasional use of household tools, handling cleaning products, and work in a warm or cool environment.
