Bar Manager

The American Legion Post 212 of Park Rapids, MN Inn is now hiring for a Bar Manager, Full Time. We are
seeking high energy, creative professionals who have bar management experience and are passionate
about creating a welcoming place for guests. Must be detail oriented, able to work on own and in a
team, and must have good communication skills.
The Bar Manager plays a vital role in delivering exceptional food & beverage experiences to guests while
also running an efficient, profitable bar. The Bar Manager must observe and enforce all Legion policies,
house rules and guiding principles; be able to work and communicate well with others; receive and
provide direction to staff; maintain a positive attitude toward the work and Legion. The Bar
Manager must also maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and support the Legion culture,
values, goals and mission.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Scheduling, training, development and oversight of all bar staff
- Maintaining product quality standards
- Observing and enforcing Legion standard operating procedures
- Addressing bar staff concerns and stressful situations with urgency, dignity & tact
- Ensuring all safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
- Must be on call 24 hours a day for emergency issues of personnel and bldg.
- Must cover any shifts as necessary until that shift is complete or someone is found to cover it
Qualifications:
- High school education with some college (preferably in business) background preferred or
equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous bar management experience
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
- Be able to perform public speaking
- Build and maintain working relationships with outside vendors
Salary:
Starting at $40k/year with 6-month probationary period
