CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK HELPS UNLOCK FULL $15,000 SANFORD HEALTH MATCH FOR THE UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN IN |
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The United Way of Bemidji Area proudly recognizes Citizens National Bank of Park Rapids for their
$2,750 contribution. With their $2,750 gift, Citizens National Bank of Park Rapids helped push us
across the finish line, securing the full $15,000 match from Sanford Health and maximizing the
impact of every dollar raised for Hubbard County.
Because of this combined investment, critical funding will remain local and support nonprofit
partners serving Hubbard County in the areas of Healthy Community, Youth Opportunity, and
Financial Stability.
This past year’s funding has supported organizations including Anishinabe Legal Services, ARCC
Emergency Shelter, Justice North, MAHUBE-OTWA, North Country Food Bank, and Support Within
Reach. An additional United Way program, Coats for the Community, launched this past November
and distributed more than 1,000 winter items to local families at St. Peter’s Church in Park Rapids.
In addition, 160 children ages 0–5 receive a free book each month through Dolly Parton's
Imagination Library, helping build early literacy skills and a love of reading at home. United Way
also allocates funding to support child abuse prevention programming and invests in ALICE
families households who are working but still struggle to afford basic necessities.
The Hubbard County grant cycle is now open, and local nonprofits serving Hubbard County
residents are encouraged to apply. Applications are reviewed by the Hubbard Advisory Council,
which makes funding recommendations to ensure dollars are invested where they will make the
greatest local impact.
We are grateful to Citizens National Bank of Park Rapids for their leadership and commitment to
our community. Partnerships like this strengthen Hubbard County and help ensure resources are
available for those who need them most.
